I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t rough! It’s not a name brand tissue but was pretty soft!

Best toilet paper I’ve ever used. My son came to visit and was surprised it was Amazon’s brand. He loved it as well.

Adding another ply or layer would keep one from having to use more to clean yourself. It’s good. Not great.

Liked the cost, good value but I prefer just a bit softer. Strong enough to do the job, it did not fall apart.

After my Amazon Presto went up $8 with Subscribe & Save, I did a cost comparison and decided to go with Sam’s Club brand instead. After receiving, I wondered how the two stack up. Here are the details of my comparison; you decide. On all pics, Amazon’s brand is on the left and Sam’s Club is on the right.
1. Both are reasonably soft (neither is SUPER soft, but not rough), with Sam’s Club being slightly softer.
2. Overall, the Sam’s Club sheets are slightly bigger.
3. The Amazon rolls are definitely wider. The Sam’s Club roll is slightly taller.
4. As of this date, cost for Presto is $25.87 pre-tax for 24 rolls of 313 sheets. Sam’s Club is $22.98 pre-tax for 45 rolls of 235 sheets. That’s 7,512 sheets @ $0.0031 per sheet for Amazon, and 10,575 sheets @ $0.0024 per sheet for Sam’s Club.
5. Both are 2-ply.
6. Both say they are septic-safe (important to me) and both perform well in that regard for us.
They honestly are very comparable as far as quality. The value winner between the two is Sam’s Club. Sam’s wins in softness too. If you prefer larger rolls, Amazon wins — but if you want twice as many rolls, go with Sam’s Club.
